What is the reasoning behind the reduced exercise activity after treatment food dosing?

When your child eats a food to which they are allergic, their system will release histamine. This may cause a localized reaction, like slight itchiness. When this is combined with an elevated heart rate (as a result of increased activity), the blood will circulate faster causing the histamine to spread through the body. Safety is always our number one priority and our goal is to keep reactions at a minimum. As such, patients are asked to observe a reduced-activity period of 60 minutes post dosing to help mitigate any adverse effects.
