Frequently Asked Questions

  • What fees are not included in the cash pay price?

The Cash Pay Bundle does not cover food dosing replacements, Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT), or additional lab testing. If extra food dosing, specialized lab panels, or SLIT are needed as part of your pathway to remission, these services will be billed separately, ensuring every plan remains personalized to your needs.

  • Who is the Cash Pay Bundle for?
Our cash pay plan is designed to provide accessible care for families with Kaiser, HMO, out-of-network or high-deductible insurance, those without insurance, and international families seeking a path to lasting food allergy remission.

  • Can I switch from Subscription to Membership Plan?

You have the flexibility to switch between plans as your family's needs evolve. For TIP Subscription members, a minimum enrollment of six months is required, and all payments must be up to date prior to making a change. If you’re on a TIP Membership with Insurance plan, you must complete at least one year in the program, ensure all payments are current, and be aware that any services previously billed but not covered by insurance remain your responsibility. If you are currently enrolled in a cash pay plan or wish to change your plan, please contact us at info@foodallergyinstitute.com—we’re here to help you navigate every step of your allergy journey.

  • Is SLIT included in the monthly cost?

The cost of SLIT is separate from the monthly TIP Fee. While the TIP Fee covers your program and data-driven dosing, SLIT is a clinical service that we will bill to your insurance for eligible coverage.

  • How much can you save with TIP Subscription Plan (Cash Pay)

The estimated first-year cost for TIP treatment is $15,425.* With Food Allergy Institute’s cash pay plan, families can access the path to remission for just $979 per month—bringing the total to approximately $11,748 for the first year.

Yearly cost of treatment: $11,748 annually (compared to $15,425*)

*All costs are estimates and may vary based on individual patient needs. Pricing does not include food dosing replacements or Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT).
